Student Expectations
*Failure to comply with any of the class expectations will lead to the student’s dismissal from class. Further interruption may lead to the expulsion of the student from the studio.*
1. Be On Time. Arrive on time so you don’t miss warm-ups and important instructions. Late arrivals can disrupt the flow of the class and may compromise your safety. Students can be no more than 10 min late. Please check in with your instructor when you are running late- The instructor may not allow you into class after 15 minutes late. Mandatory “Late Arrival Warm-Up” will be completed by the student before participating in the Lesson Plan.
2. No Jewelry.
3. Hair must be pulled back into a ponytail, bun or some other fashion to keep it out of student’s face.
*Please make sure hair is secured and can stay up throughout the entire class.
4. Attire: Wear appropriate clothing that allows for a full range of motion and provides coverage to prevent friction burns. Typically, leggings and a fitted top are suitable, and some classes may have other specific requirements for safety reasons.
5. No horseplay. Students may not run inside the dance studio.Â
6. No gum or food allowed inside the Studio– only water bottles on the side.
7. Respect for Instructors, Peers, and Self: Repeated disrespectful or inappropriate behavior can lead to being asked to sit out for the remainder of class. Youth students will receive 3 verbal warnings before having to sit out of class; 1st warning is verbal by the instructor, 2nd verbal warning student will be sent to their parent for further disciplinary action, and 3rd the student will be asked to sit out for a rotation or for the remainder of class.
8. Ask questions, have fun, and keep a good attitude! Aerial Arts can be challenging, and progress may take time. Stay patient, be persistent, and celebrate small victories along the way.
9. Consistent Effort: Consistency in attendance and effort is essential for improvement. Practice outside of class to reinforce skills learned during sessions.
10. Communication: If you have any physical limitations or health concerns, communicate them to your instructor before class.
11. Please read the emails and newsletters carefully, as they are often the only means of communicating with all of the parents at once.

Studio Policies
Class Minimum & Cancellations
Our minimum enrollment for Drop-in Classes and Series to stay on the schedule will remain 2 students. Underenrolled Drop-in Classes (classes with 0 or 1 student signed up) will be canceled 2 hours before the class begins.Â
Registration Window & Early Cancellation Window for Students
The early cancellation and registration window is 2 hours before the class’s start time. This means if you would like to retain your class credit for canceling your sign-up in a drop-in class, you have to do so 2 hours before the class start time. With less than 2 hours notice, it’ll be considered a late cancel and you’ll lose that class credit. If you want to enroll in a class and the registration window has closed you are more than welcome to call the studio to check if you can still be added to the class.
Open Studio
• Available to any currently registered aerial students or visitors.
• This is a time to practice what you have already learned to build the endurance, strength, flexibility, and muscle memory needed for aerial work. Open Studio is not a time for skill sharing and it is not a lesson. You may work with fellow students at your same level, but intermediate/advanced students will not teach beginning students any new material that is beyond their skill level. The supervising instructor must approve any teaching between students.
• Please respect each other’s airtime and share the equipment as necessary.
Make Up Classes
• Missed classes can be made up during Open Studio and the instructor present will
teach the material that was missed during the group class.
• If a class is not made up within the same month of the class missed, the lesson is forfeited.
• There is no charge for make up classes.
• If the student cannot attend Open Studio, they may drop into another group class of their same level, if available. Please talk to your instructor to arrange a drop in make up class.
Clothing
• Form fitting workout clothes that cover the knees, armpits, and back (capri pants, tank top, and a long sleeved shirt are best)
• Barefoot
• No shorts, loose fitting material, short tops, zippers, buttons, or jewelry
Additional Policies
• Safety is always the top priority during any aerial activity. If you feel unsafe during any part of class, please let the instructor know, and carefully return to the ground.
• Students must fill out the Studio’s waiver form and the instructor’s waiver form upon arrival for their first class.
• The “Events” page calendar on Cirqueariasa.com is always up to date. Please refer to the calendar if scheduling questions arise.
• Any photos/videos of instructors and/or fellow students must be authorized by the individual being photographed and the instructor present.
• Using the aerial equipment without the instructor present is unacceptable. Instructor supervision is required.
• Please bring a water bottle with you to class.
• Aerial workshops, lecture/demos, and/or performances for various events outside of class can be arranged. Please contact Dessany for more information.
• Please email, text, or call your instructor with any questions or concerns.
